GOOGLEFINANCE in Sheets, Live Market Data

GOOGLEFINANCE returns Google Finance data. It is Sheets-only. Treat it as delayed market data, not a trading feed.
Syntax and arguments
=GOOGLEFINANCE(ticker, [attribute], [start_date], [end_date|num_days], [interval])- ticker
- Symbol, often EXCHANGE:TICKER such as NASDAQ:GOOGL.
- attribute
- "price", "name", "currency", "high", or "close" for history.

Need a live-ish quote.
=GOOGLEFINANCE("NASDAQ:GOOGL","price")Returns the latest price Google Finance has, often delayed.

USD to EUR.
=GOOGLEFINANCE("CURRENCY:USDEUR")Currency pairs use the CURRENCY: prefix.

Last 10 sessions.
=GOOGLEFINANCE("NASDAQ:GOOGL","close",TODAY()-20,TODAY(),"DAILY")Spills dates and close prices. Filter weekends if you need a compact list.
Common mistakes
Bare ticker without exchange
GOOGL can fail. Prefer NASDAQ:GOOGL.
Treating the number as real-time
Expect delay. Do not run a trading model on this cell.
Excel STOCKHISTORY syntax
Excel uses STOCKHISTORY or Stocks data types. GOOGLEFINANCE is Sheets only.

Why do I get #N/A?
Unknown ticker, wrong exchange prefix, or a market Google Finance does not cover.
Does this work in Excel?
No. Use Excel Stocks or STOCKHISTORY.
Can I refresh on a timer?
Sheets recalculates periodically. There is no second-level refresh control.
