About Updevly
Updevly is a spreadsheet formula product. It generates, explains, and fixes formulas for Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets, and can write formulas into an uploaded Excel workbook when you are signed in.

Why Excel and Sheets are separate
QUERY, ARRAYFORMULA, IMPORTRANGE, and GOOGLEFINANCE are Google Sheets functions. Excel dynamic arrays, structured tables, and Power Query are not the same file. A comma locale and a semicolon locale are also not interchangeable. The product keeps two generators and two guide hubs so a pasted formula matches the file you open.
Which versions we write for
Excel examples target Microsoft 365 unless a guide says otherwise. INDEX MATCH and SUMIFS appear when a feature needs older Excel. Sheets examples target the current browser app. Hungarian pages use SZUM, HA, FKERES, X.KERES and semicolons.
How we test examples
Each public guide needs at least three copy-ready formulas, three FAQs, and related links that exist in the same hub. We check title and description length, and we reject en dashes in the JSON so snippets stay plain. We do not claim a live workbook sits behind every example. You should still paste the formula into a copy of your file.
What we publish
Tool pages and formula guides are written for people who already work in spreadsheets. Examples use US-English function names. Guides are reviewed as product documentation, not as a substitute for your own testing.
